THINKING YOU ARE ACTUALLY COVERED. I have had my cover with Argos for over 3 years, paying there extortionate annual increases for my two beloved dogs assuming I was doing the responsible thing as a pet owner and covering them and us if anything were to happen. Unfortunately someone left my gate open and my dog got out onto the road and was hit by a car and killed. She caused damage to the distraught car owners car however we said not to worry we have a £1 million pound in third party cover so it wont be a problem. However after 3 weeks of constantly chasing Argos have told me that the wording on the policy has a stronger "get out of paying" paragraph than my home insurance policy so they wont be paying and to contact my home insurance. This has made what was a very distressing time for me and my family unbearable. At no point do they tell you that you don't need third party cover as you are probably already covered or can they check your home insurance documents when you take out your policy. Argos you should hang your head in shame!
