2/10 Buyer Beware,

Please, please do not move any Existing Lifetime cover to E & L or to any other Insurer unless you are absolutely sure your pet is in excellent health. I started to look for alternative cover when my existing insurance went up by over 30% and this was in March. I decided to move to E & L and arranged the new cover in March to commence on April 11th believing my dog to be in good health. Unfortunately my dog became a bit lethargic so I took him to the vet who told me that he was probably suffering from a liver condition. The lethargy was the only sign that there could be a problem but because this was noted within 13 days of taking out a policy, the cover was invalidated because it fell within a 14 day deferment period on the policy. The policy was not fit for purpose so I cancelled it. Being a responsible dog owner I have had continuous cover on my dog since 2006 but I am now left with no cover at all as no other insurance will pick up my dogs condition now. A very expensive mistake so donít fall into the same trap!! The galling thing is that my previous policy was also underwritten by E & L.

    2/5 because a clear exclusion on the policy meant you couldnít claim. Not really the companies fault more bad timing on your part
